You can’t help getting older, but you can help getting old!

Whether we admit it or not, one of our primary goals in life is to live well into our “Golden Years.” As I rapidly approach this time in my life, I am reminded every day that the main tool God has given us to cope with this challenge is humor.  George Burns said, “You can’t help getting older, but you can help getting old.”

This video was sent to me by blog reader and cousin, Dwight Davis. In it, Mary Maxwell delivers the invocation at a conference for Senior Care providers. Ms. Maxwell definitely has “the humor attitude” about her. Regardless of your age, I think you will enjoy it. If you can’t relate to what she has to say, here’s wishing that you live long enough to laugh with her someday.

I’ve seen this video several times, and laugh every time.

Before she opens your mouth, you figure the only thing she could do effectively is serve as a trellis for varicose veins.

Keeppittup!

There are three signs of old age. The first is your loss of memory….the other two I forget….
